Tracee statement on coaching
Tracee J. Swank
Swank serves as the leader of Church Doctor Ministries, and is a certified Church Doctor consultant and leadership coach. Tracee is committed to helping local churches and ministry organizations discover their purpose and mission in the communities they serve. Tracee is passionate about resourcing and releasing Christian leaders to help fulfill the Great Commission through coaching, consulting, and teaching. Tracee leads the ministry staff team, supervises the training and development of Church Doctor Coaches and Consultants, and oversees the advancement of the mission of the ministry. Tracee has an undergraduate degree in organization development from the University of Toledo. She received a master’s degree in Theological Studies and Spiritual Formation from the Winebrenner Theological Seminary. Tracee’s spare time is usually filled with reading, writing, and studying trends in Christianity. When not traveling for ministry work, she can be found in her kitchen adapting and trying new recipes or outside vegetable gardening. She lives in northwest Ohio with her husband, Matt, and their black lab, Jimmie. Together, Tracee and Matt (and Jimmie) train assistance dogs for Assistance Dogs of America.
Jon Hunter
Jonathan Hunter joined the Church Doctor Ministry staff in November 2015 as SEND North America’s Mission and Discipleship Coordinator. He currently serves as The SEND Movement Leader for Church Doctor Ministries. Jon and his wife, Esther, previously served as missionaries to Malaysia serving as teachers in an international school and assisting with a church plant in Kuala Lumpur. Jon and Esther also served in ministry in England.
Tom Schaeffer
Tom has over 30 years of experience in ministry. Over that time, discipleship and leadership development have been a hallmark of his ministry. He has had the privilege of mentoring dozens of lay and professional church leaders over the years. He has also led churches through nearly every significant transition including birth, redevelopment, and merger.
Dr. Christine A. (Chrysanne) Timm
Timm has served as a solo, associate, lead and interim pastor during more than 35 years of ministry in Ohio and Michigan. She recently concluded a term as a denominational official. As of October 1st, she serves as pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church in Northport, Michigan.
Chrysanne earned her Doctor of Ministry degree in 2018 from George Fox Seminary, her Masters of Divinity degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary and a B.A. in Japanese Language and Literatures from The Ohio State University. She is a student of Bowen Family Systems Theory and Rabbi Edwin Friedman’s application of theory to congregational life and leadership. She offers workshops and consultation designed to equip leaders to deal with and leverage anxiety to fulfill their God-given mission.
Chrysanne lives in Lake Ann, Michigan with her husband, Craig. They have one daughter, two sons, three grandchildren, and a fluffy child named Mackinac. In her spare time, she enjoys travel with family and friends, reading, boating, and has recently taken up quilting.
Todd Stocker
For the past 20 years, tODD HAS begun, developed, and led church organizations ranging in size for a few dozen to a few thousand. He continues to provide coaching for business and ministry leaders and most recently led a six-month cohort of new pastors who’d just graduated from the seminary. He excel in keynote speaking, mission/vision formation, and strategic planning with a focus toward discipleship and multiplication.
Kent Wilson
Kent Wilson has a natural heart and a gift for bringing the best out of leaders and, by extension, the organizations they lead. For nearly 30 years Kent served as a Lutheran pastor and from the get-go was regularly involved in denominational leadership roles including a stint on his synod’s staff. He’s supervised 9 interns, and served in rural, small town, and small city contexts. Kent is a level 2 certified coach, holds an Executive Certificate in Religious Fund-raising, and recently spent three years in the highest level of a nationwide Senior Pastor’s Mastermind group. On the personal side, Kent is a certified personal trainer and developed his own fitness system called 9Minutes2Fit.
Dr. Barry Kolb
Kolb has spent more than 50 years leading and training as a teacher, coach, pastor. He also serves in the leadership of several para-church organizations. Barry has also taught church leaders in more than 13 foreign countries and is a regular teacher at Angola Prison in LA, where he mentors and teaches inmate pastors. In addition he has found time to launch a missional community (https://branson.church/grind) in a local coffee shop.
