As the New Year is upon us, many people reflect on starting fresh and new beginnings…new fitness goals, new Bible-reading plans, new diets, new, new, NEW! I’ll 
admit, I jump on the “resolution bus” every year too. It’s a great opportunity to shed the old and embrace the better!
However, we should remember that we don’t need to wait until January each year for a fresh start; we experience a new shot at life every day! The beautiful reality is that God’s mercy is constant, and the chance for a clean slate comes daily! We are reminded in Lamentations 3:22-23, “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning….” Did you catch that? His compassion, or mercy, is new every morning. Every single morning.
This powerful truth of our daily “clean slate” is at the forefront of the SEND experience…as a matter of fact, it has to be! It’s impossible to experience a spiritual journey like SEND and not be reminded of the constant grace that God pours out! SEND is about experiencing God’s grace and love in a way that’s almost tangible throughout the ten months of training, and this experience changes the way we view ourselves, our lives, and God. Summed up, it changes everything.
If you hear God calling you to embrace the new, step out in faith, and start on a fresh and exciting journey with Him, I encourage you to consider the SEND experience this year. 2015 will be packed with new adventures; let your journey with God be one of them!
